Alright, so we have PSN coming back online now, and we know that E3 is right around the corner. Also, Modern Warfare 3 will most likely debut some gameplay at E3 as well. what if PlayStation was able to buy them out or something, have them debut on PlayStation's E3, and also get early access to the dlc, instead of it being Microsoft. Could be able to get back some peoples trust.

heh sure why not? I'm positive Activision would willingly give away their biggest cash cow ever.....

if you mean simply paying them for exclusive stuff then no, I'd prefer they do that to a better game.

Playstation users won't get ripped off at all. They have nothing to be compensated for because playstation network is free for all its users.

What we need to be compensated for is the TIME we COULDN'T play our games online, which infact is a service promised by Sony's product.

has NOTHING to do with payment.

I think he's talking about Sony themselves. They have to pay for the servers themselves. Not to mention the downtime, the money forked out to restructure their entire system, the money lost from developers, the money lost from playstation plus owners,the money lost to compensate owners for not only PSN but SoE and their lost revenue potential trying to gain peoples trust back. You know BIZNIZZ type stuff.

Last thing they have at the moment is extra cash to fork out for Activison for Exclusive DLC rights to a game people will probably buy a shit load for anyway.

Really, is it that hard to believe every year one comes out and it is the top selling game.  Its nothing new, more people care about these game than just about any other console game ever made.

@kaos_cracker:

I don't think having exclusive rights to a game earns trust.  Having a secure network garners trust.

This is a bad idea, and even if Sony wanted to do it, it wouldn't happen. I'm sure all those deals have already been made.

I think Microsoft have a deal with them, I think it will open the Microsoft press conference. At this point, if you want to win, you make the next call of duty a console exclusive
