Afterlife = Resident Evil 5?

The first stills from the upcoming fourth installment in the Resident Evil franchise have been released as of yesterday, and two specific images from the available selection simply scream Resident Evil 5 influence.  I've been pretty down on the entire movie franchise since it began, since they've basically ripped the horror element out of the series and tossed a lot of big Hollywood stunts and explosions in there instead in the process of translating it to the big screen.  Since that's pretty much what RE5 did to the game  series, I actually think this particular film might hold some promise, and significantly more faith toward the source material.  
 
Both of these stills seem pretty much ripped directly from RE5.
 

The 2nd picture does look like that one monster from RE5.

yeah, those do look like rip offs. kind of sad that it is happening like that. people ripping things off of other things.

That guy on the left looks like chris redfield, I say at least they are making an effort to make it more like the game at the very least.

These are like, the most non-descriptive pictures ever.

And to be honest, they have hacked up the fiction so much in the movies that can only deliver a subpar story experience with the films.

The first RE movie wasn't bad imo, but the rest sucked. This could be okay, but my hopes are pretty low.

I'll go see it. The Resident Evil movies are a lot of fun, especially with others. Yeah they have not done a great job with the story, but then again the game fiction was terrible to begin with.

this movie will be awesome because Paul W.S. Anderson is writing and directing, as he did for the first one.

If Wesker is in this movie then I will totally watch it.
