Monster Hunter Generations Online Community

With the release of Monster Hunter Generations less than a month away I am looking to see if anyone wants to team up. I got into the series with MH4U and really only play it solo (up to G2 now!), but with this upcoming release I am hoping to play online in a team setting.

I like CrocBox's idea of doing a Discord server for this stuff. Anyone here well-versed in doing that? I set one up for a few of my buddies that we use each week sometime last year so I'm a bit rusty, but can get more well-versed if need be!

A discord server sounds like a great idea. I've set one up, I think. It's called GiantBomb MHGen. There's likely more to it than that, but in the interim it is something.

@veggiesbro: Hmmm, now that I'm looking at Discord again, when you join a server it wants 'an instant invite URL or code' soooooo... you may need to post that I think? I don't think you can just search by name...

been trying out charge blade in 4u though i feel i may still be an insect glaive man.

my main strategy with monsters is still flail wildly at them until they are dead, and heal repeatedly to not die myself.

I played 4U for about 30 hours, but fell off due to no one to play with and just burned out. I'll probably pick this up though because I liked it that much. Haven't decided if I want to go Insect Glaive again (I was a mounting EXPERT), or mix it up with something else. I'm a reckless type too, so it'll be tons of fun.

Yeah sure, I played about 300 hours of 3U and 400 of 4U and I plan on being fairly active on this game too. Mostly Aerial DB. Because shit it's so much fun and I reaaaaally like Attack On Titan

Do we want to dedicate a night that we can all get on and focus on multiplayer rooms? I can throw a thread up with certain days of the week and see which one is more popular in order to get that moving. I am not 100% focused on multiplayer, especially right now in the early game. So if I had a day that I could just keep multiplayer on and help with hunts, I would prefer it.

Unfortunately, I have small children and don't have the time to get on a Discord server and talk to everyone. But setting aside some time to play with the community would be great (hopefully they won't get too upset if I have to drop out of a hunt to help out with my family).

I'd be down with that or even a new hunter time. I don't mind showing folks "the ropes" or just Der ping around
