Who're you supporting,is it a big deal where you're from, and how are you going to celebrate?Answers can include but don't require volumes of alcohol ;-)
2010 World Cup
Im going to support the mighty England team
and watch them go out in the 1st round :D
every year we say its our chance, that we can actualy do it this year,
but we havent in 44 years.
Brasil baby. I'm egyptian, but we JUST didn't qualify :( so back to my fav team. I have a feeling Spain may take it though, since they have the best team there is.
The thing is - every year we do have a half decent chance. England are one of the top teams in the world. I think we're 7th in the FIFA world rankings at the moment. Getting to the last 8 (quarter finals) is well within our ability. And once you're that far, it's wide open. A couple of good games (and lets face it, any team can have a couple of great games with a bit of luck) and you're in the final." Of course, I don't actually think we're going to to it, but there is always the possibility. The law of averages means that we have to do it eventually. Maybe this year is it?
Also, Darren Bent for england!!!!!! He's had a great season and deserves to go to South Africa!!!! Drop Heskey (who's is completely useless) and take Bent!!!!!!!!!!!
" Who're you supporting ?"
Im from israel. And in israel, and all of asia, football is life."is it a big deal where you're from ? "

Even though England never wins, I'll be supporting them as usual. And Italy (supported them last season also)
Scotland aren't there so I'm blissfully watching as an impartial football fan! But I do want to see Algeria and USA do well as my club team sends a few players to them.
Ahhh, the world SOCCER cup, where we see people play SOCCER. What do they play on? Oh yeah, a SOCCER field.
Just sayin'.
Spain. I'm a casual fan of Argentine, but I can't stand that douche Maradona. I'll also keep an eye on the US, after their very fine performance during the Confederations Cup.
Also, the 1st round groups seriously make me want to skip this fucking cup whatsoever. Seriously, the only group that can be watched without dying is D. The rest is a festival of shitty teams with one contender.

Italy and Spain all the way.

I love the way the Dutch play. I grew up playing American football, so I don't have any really intricate knowledge of how the game is played, but the Dutch are so fun to watch.
Also routing for the US and England. People who are more informed: Beckham is out right? How is Rooney's injury?
" @EvilHaole: Beckham's out, Rooney should be fine for the world cup but he's out for the rest of the season. "Seems like Rooney could be back, even by tomorrow for the Sunderland game. Tbh, I wouldn't risk him, it failed horribly against Bayern and there's no point risking a re-occurrence .
Also, is Becks still going with the team? Obviously not to play, but as a kinda '24th' man. Presumably too boost England's WC 22 (?) bid

This truth is painful to me. However, I will be supporting the US through and through. Once they're knocked out, I don't really root for anyone but I still love to watch the rest.
" Ahhh, the world SOCCER cup, where we see people play SOCCER. What do they play on? Oh yeah, a SOCCER field. Just sayin'. "Theres only ONE World Cup, mo' fo' .
