I hope you all bought it as they are the greatest hard rock band of all time. To not get it would only expose your feeble mortality before the world's loudest band.

Picking this up tonight.  If you listen to Rock/Metal/Punk whatever and you can't at least appreciate Spinal Tap you are nuts.

I've never seen the movie, but I think they have some DLC on Rock Band 2. I'll probably download all of it. Man, I just have to say that Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight is one truly awesome song. I've been a far ever since playing that song in Guitar Hero 2.

I think it's hilarious how they are actually a real band now. And people didn't realize they were fake when the movie came out.

The album is pretty good. It has a few of the older tracks from the movie and some new ones as well. The lyrics are hilarious and the musicianship is actually very competent. These guys fully understand the music they're lampooning. For ten bucks, you get the CD and the DVD which is an hour long video of them talking about each song, which is hilarious and worth the ten bucks alone. The package also folds out into a diorama of them onstage with Stonehenge!

well at least they realize they need a DVD to sell the album, wouldn't buy it otherwise, would rather just rewatch the first film, btw the audio commentary where they are in character is probably even funnier than the actual film itself.

Aren't they a parody band? Why are they releasing an album...

And I spent 300$ on Japanese imports anyways so I don't think I'd be getting it anytime soon anyways.

Well now it does, but only Weird Al.

Parody bands release albums all the time. The guys from the Spinal Tap movie jam in real life. They recorded another album to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film.
