AOL Instant Messenger question?

Is there a way to have AIM automatically sign you off when you sign on from another location? I am tired of switching from Mac to iPhone by doing a manual sign off and thought that in this time and age it should work more seamlessly sort of how Facebook mobile and the actual Facebook work in sync.

not sure, but have u looked in the preferences?  There's gotta be an auto-sign-off feature there somewhere...

Pidgin is all you need, some people like to use Trillian though.

I've encountered this problem myself before, and I never found a way to fix it. What I do know, though, is that when it signs on in the new location it'll ask the old location to sign it out by responding to an automated message. 

i usually dont worry about signing off....
