Aussie Rules Grand Final

So any duders out there going to be watching the AFL Grand Final tomorrow between the reigning Premiers Hawthorn Hawks and Sydney Swans. Being a Swans supporter I'm getting pretty bloody excited and was just wondering if any non-Aussies have any interest at all in the finale of the 2014 season?

These teams met in the 2012 Grand Final in an epic encounter that finished with Sydney winning by 10 points. This year the teams finished first and second in the regular season and are both primed for another tremendous contest. I must have watched this montage of the 2012 Grand Final at least 100 times since that day and it still gets my blood pumping, especially this week.

This game should be pretty huge, looking forward to seeing buddy franklin up against his old team.

I am Canadian and I LOVE Aussie Rules Football. I consider it one of the best sports on the planet.

Yeah, there is a lot for the neutrals to grab on to in this game. The past few years rivalry, Buddy, COLA and the general hatred shown by Victoria for the Swans, especially by Eddie McGuire. Quite a big turnaround by the footy watching public against Sydney from 2012.

How could you go against one of your own? Mike Pyke is a great ruckman and person to boot who probably never should have made it but his perseverance paid off in spades.

I am rooting for Hawthorn. I haven't watched a game this year, and I can't name a player on their team. Buddy Franklin is the only player that I can name on either team and I can never remember if I hate him or like him.

But I'm rooting for something for me to watch in the middle of the night

In 24 hours I'll either be drinking away my sorrows or celebrating another premiership. Hopefully the latter.

My wife yesterday, saw Buddy at the airport She offered him a high five and some encouragement for the game but was left hanging. Fucking hilarious. Should be a good game.

Iv lived in Melbourne all my life.. i still dont really care about AFL.

This isn't going well at all. Half time and the Hawks lead by 7 goals. Will be the greatest Grand Final comeback ever for the Swans to be victorious.

Oh well. Time for another beer. Hoptimum anyone?
