Best Sub Sandwich Franchise? (USA Poll)
We only have Subway in Sweden så I will go for Subway in this poll but I do really like them. They are kind of expensive here but their Hot Italian or steak & cheese with Southwest is awesome!
The thing that bugs me with Subway is that I either get a cookie or a freaking bag of chips with my meal! I would prefer some fries (made in oven so they are not fat). I have another sub sandwich place here which is called Sunset and they have awesome grilled subs (I tend to take chicken with cheese & bacon) but also terrific low fat fries with even more awesome herbs spices on them.
I tried to have Jimmy Johns delivered once but the wouldn't deliver to my address because I lived literally 2 blocks out of their delivery zone. Those jerks, they expect me to make my own food or what?
I'd have to go with Subway though, it's the only one I've had more than a couple times.
Jimmy John's by miles. Cheap as hell and twice as delicious, so pissed the one by me doesn't deliver to my area.
Blimpie is by far my favorite of the sub franchises I've eaten at, but I can make a sub at home that tastes better than almost any sub from a restaurant. There's one exception which was a family owned business that only lasted a couple months and their subs were just so amazing.
Also, Subway is kind of gross. I can eat it, but everywhere else is miles better. Their stuff is nowhere near as fresh as any other sub place I've been to (and I've been to many.) I can make subs that would blow your fuckin' mind if Subway is the best you've had.

How is Subway winning? Do you people even know what sandwiches are? I mean sure Subway is fine if you're desperate but I can make a better sandwich at home.

... Subway is literally the worst. You people are terrible.
Subway is the biggest food chain in the world.

I thought Mcdonalds was? Being the biggest doesn't make it the best.
It's terrible.
I have recently grown very fond of Firehouse Subs. My favorite sandwiches may have 1500 calories in them, but hey who's counting?

Last year Subway beat them. And I agree that biggest doesn't equal best but, it does equal the one most people go to. There are probably areas that only have Subways.
Definitely Firehouse Subs. I love that place. Every sub I've tried there beats Quiznos and Subway by a mile.
I stopped eating Quiznos 3 or 4 years ago because every time I went there they were out of meatballs. Such a fucking waste of time having to order something that isn't a meatball sub. Of the two other sub franchises around Subway is better. Now I usually go to a pita place instead.
I voted Quiznos but it's only seems to be great the first month or two after a new location opens then it falls right off, it been the same experience at every single one of them around here.
I like Subway just fine, not my favorite but it's good.
Never even heard of any of the other places in the poll...
How the hell is Subway winning? This is a poll for the best sub not the cheapest. I went with Which Wich but Penn Station is also great, and I dunno how many stores it has, but there is a sub place in Indiana called McCalister's Deli that has at least a couple shops that I really like.
@Brandino: I dunno if I'd count that as a sub shop. It's a great place but it serves a ton of stuff that isn't subs. I think I would compare it more to a Panera than a sub shop. Sandwiches, salads and soups. I honestly can't say I've ever ordered a sub there.
Is Subway amazing in the states or something? I'm in Canada and it's terrible here, Unless you've got a thing for paper thin meat and cheese built by a " sandwich technician" everyone who has voted subway is crazy.

It's all over the fucking place in the States so it's probably winning the poll just because of its prevalence. Quiznos all the way for me, it just sucks that I rarely find one when I'm out.
