House seasons 1 + 2 vs Dexter seasons 1+ 2, Dexter wins. But since Dexter season 3 was a travesty, and season 4 was slightly better, House wins overall.

Dexter sucks.

I love love love Hugh Laurie, but Dexter is the better show overall.

My vote is for House because he is literally a likable smart ass, which is the reason why I watch it.

Every episode of House plays out in the same way. It's a good show for the first few episodes and then you catch on.

House because it's Hugh Laurie and because the whole Dr. House character is based on Sherlock Holmes. 
 
Also. This Dexter tops them all.

House for me... He is an absolute genius, and its hard to believe he played so well in Black Adder way back in the day.
