Me and my mates play alot of boardgames (or games for that matter), most recently Arkham Horror and Magic: The Gathering. Over the past two years or so we've played Risk, Arkham Horror, Catan, Carcassonne and Lord of the Rings boardgame to name a few. Arkham Horror and Catan probably being my favorite. So what are Giant Bombers' favorite boardgames and do you play alot of boardgames? Also, what are your thoughts on videogame-based boardgames?
Escape from Atlantis because it has Seamonsters, Giant octopuses and Sharks! and Lost Valley of the dinosaurs because it had a huge plastic volcano , a bunch of dinosaur figures and a Pteradon with moveable wings!
@Blomakrans: Ooh, Arkham Horror! My brother recently bought this (and one of the expansions), and we all got together for a game. It was amazingly fun! Looking forward to giving it another shot.
While these responses are not shocking I wish more people played board games beyond what is offered at your local toys r us.
Sure there is a place for Risk, Monopoly, and Scrabble but there are games out there that I imagine most video gamers would love if only there was an option to try them.
Omg Risk is awesome. I used to play that years ago when I was younger with my brothers. Same goes for Atmosfear! God I loved those games. Of all time though my favourite has to be Cluedo!
Been really enjoying Cyclades lately. Great game, and still fun when you only have two people (actually, may even be better with only two in a strange way.)
@Blomakrans: Thank you. Wait until you find out about the Pokemon specific Monopoly rules; if you role double sixes, you can battle someone else for one of their properties. It's a b*tch.
