How many posts before you got to know somebody better than their mother(if you read them all?)

I was just thinking about things when i realized, that if someone were to read all of my posts, (especially in off topic) they would know about my beliefs, philosophy, political/economical views, girls i've been out with, experiences in my life even my mother would not know... seems like its getting a little weird, too much info? its not like i like to advertise things, i'm not a facebook person, i have EVERYTHINg on private on that...somehow so much info has been posted here, its not on purpose, i just feel like contributing sometimes...

Lots.  Way lots.  And, even then, there is no guarantee that the person hasn't misrepresented themselves or their opinions in some way

I feel like I can get to know what people here are like from like 5-10 posts, but to know them that well I'm sure it would take less than 500 if they consistently make meaningful posts instead of spouting memes.

It's impossible. Because I'm a significantly different person on the internet than I am in reality. On the internet (especially while gaming online), I'm an antagonist. I'm cynical, and I hate everyone. In reality, I'm a people person that loves puppies, social activity and all that crap. I also don't go around flaunting my political/religious views because I simply don't care enough to share them with random people who have no involvement in my life.

Shouldn't this be a percentage? Not everybody has at least 8000 posts.

Depends on the posts, of course. I could respond with "lol your face looks stupid" to every thread, and all that would say about me is that I'm either 6, a Youtube commenter, or brain damaged. (although there is little difference between the three)

Who knows, a few thousand posts in and I'm still not sure if Hitman is legitimately insane.

I really couldn't pin a number to this. From what I've experienced, how well you get to know another user doesn't just depend on their post count, but it depends very largely on your direct interactions with them and the kind of subjects they post about.

Just a few, I can tell who is an alt and who isn't because all the alts (hundreds of them) writes exactly the same. Then again there could be false positives, like the op writes exactly like this alt, so I usually avoid posting in his threads. But i'm not accusing you of anything, you do write like that. Also there are those alts or the same individual (stalker) who reads every single one of my post and combs it over with a fine tooth comb waiting to troll. Other ppl who aren't stalkers, but makes everything I say into some sort of meme.

In conclusion, alts only takes a few post to spot them. Non alts might take a 100 post to know them better. 1000 post, you know they aren't an alt, this alt can't even function like a normal human being and keeps getting his threads locked or his accounts banned annoying everyone with nonsense. Maybe 2000 post, you know their philosophy, system alignment and outlook on life for most normal posters. 8000 post or more, you know them and know they are committed to the site as regular posters because you will always remember them.
