ITS ALMOST 200X

I was conversating with my friend when we came across how important the year 200X was to video game legend.  Many NES/Genesis games set their dystopian future in 200X.  We could nail down Megaman, Low G man and I am certain that Contra 3 the Alien Wars and F Zero occurred in 200X since it will be 200X in almost exactly 24 hours (east Coast  Time USA) i was wondering if anyone had other 200X (2000 X=Roman Numeral for ten) games.

I always thought that the X was a place holder for a single-digit, usually non-zero number.  In a day we'll be in 20XX.

The X in dates such as 200X is used to denote an unspecified digit, not to represent the number ten. Even if it did represent the number ten surely the whole year wouldn't be 2010, it would be 20010.

ok japan make it happen make a real megaman. Just borrow that money nintendo made off wii and you'll get enough money.

Contra 3 is in 2636, not 200X.  So we got a ways to go.
 
Most of the F-Zero games are supposed to be 26th century.

If you're going by X meaning ten then that would make the year 20010, which is pretty fucking far off. This thread is worse than my chocobo thread.

I like the year 2XXX, myself. The most vague, overused "future" time used in old video games.
