I've recently got back into playing my guitar, and have been searching round for an easy going acoustic song that I could ease myself into.
I don't want chords I want finger picking style. ( Or a mix between chords and finger picking. Like Computer man )
I'm not amazing ( Just awesome).
Any songs would be a great help.
Leanring a new song.
The best way to learn F is to finger an open E chord, then refinger it in the same shape but without your index finger, slide this position up one fret and bar across. Same thing with learning a B chord. Finger an open A, then refinger it without the index finger and slide up one fret, add the index finger as a bar. When I say refinger, I mean the index finger gets replaced by middle, middle by ring, and ring by pinky, ohhh damn that pinky.
The bar itself is difficult to play at first but if you keep practicing it will totally open up the guitar. I learned by strumming all open strings and then trying to create the bar chord as quickly as possible.
As an appropriate reward ,one of you can teach me to sing and play at the same time. :(
Practice.
No idea if you're into classical guitar (primarily what I play), but a few I've been practicing lately:
Dieter Kriedler - Salida del Sol
Frederich Handel - Sarabande (from Keyboard suite)
JS Bach - Preludium (from Cello Suite no. 5)
JS Bach - Aria (colloquially known as Air on a G string)
Paul Gilbert - Flamingo
All involve finger picking and some chords (Sarabande, Flamingo = pretty chord heavy).
Learn the pimp-nasty Spanish flamenco style:
If you figure that out, you'll be awesome enough to murder people with your face.
Also, I have no idea who that guy is, he's just who popped up when I searched for Spanish guitar. There's no specific song you should learn, just the traditional Spanish guitar styles in general.
This guy is awesome too, haha:
Edit: oh and if you want simpler stuff to start with, there's plenty of that. Just look for ballads and also look for Bossa Nova music like Vinicius De Moraes.
You could try to learn Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah, it's got a capo on the 5th fret but you could play it without the capo and it would still sound ok.

"Damn amazing song, I'll have a go at learning it, and you might even see a video on you tube of me playing. Lets see how well I do, eh?

Easy, and it sounds pretty close to the record with guitar only.

Not that hard if you get down the rhythm, and good sing along song for parties.
