Metallica or Iron Maiden?

Overall I would go with Iron Maiden, they have not had a big drop in quality yet while Metallica have not put out a great album in years.

old metallica has and will kill anything Iron maiden will ever come out with.

Iron Maiden for sure.

Both I enjoy both bands but iron maiden a lil less.

iron maiden man even old mettalica can't be compared to the epicness of maiden, i mean look at what iron maiden did to metal in like 30 years or something and look at mettalica and their quest for money by selling out look at the napster thing or the mtv gayness, musically you can't compare them because they are both in different genres but you can say that both are very talented that's for sure

Well both are okay but in terms of metalness id say in this order

Iron Madien>Iced Earth>Blind Gaurdian>Metallica>Megadeath.

Dragonforce ( if you like them or not) I wouldn't put into that catagory, I enjoy them and have all their albums, not because of techical Prowess( or lack thereof depending who you are) but just because its fun and rediculous to listen to, from time to time.

You can't really compare the two, it's two totally different types of music. With that said, I'm going to have to go with Metallica, since they do have a few songs I like and Iron Maiden has even fewer.

Metallica. Early Metallica is so influential and timeless, I just have to pick them.
