It doesn't really suck. Everyone has their own preferences. I, personally, hate today's music with few exceptions. I prefer 80's music with a touch of some early 90's music. Bands I like today are A7X, Disturbed, Oasis, Incubus, Foo Fighters, and a few others. I can listen to some rap, but NOT MUCH. Mainly 80's and 90's rap.
Dude even the good rap out these days can't even begin to compare to the Likes of NWA and BIG basically we need a mass extermination of all mainstream rappers
THE F***ING MAN. MUSIC STARTED TO SUCK AFTER MTV QUIT MUSIC AND DISNEY STARTED MUSIC. DAMN HANNAH MONTANA. GRUNGE DESTROYED METAL IN THE 90'S WHICH SUCKS. AND THEN GRUNGE QUICKLY DIED AND RAP BECAME POPULAR THAN RAP BECAME STUPID. ALL IM SAYING IS BRING THE GREAT ATTITUDE OR ROCK AND HEAVY METAL BANDS AND MUSIC WILL BE HOLY AGAIN.
The main reason music(mainstream I guess I should say) isn't as good today is "the man". People used to have such freedom when writing their music back in the 1960s, now people are trying to make what's popular to try to achieve mainstream success. second reason is they're all about money now. Again using the 60s as an example, they didn't get paid nearly as much as they do now. They made music for a purpose, for their fans, for them, for a cause(vietnam)....they didn't do it to become rich.
