Who is better?

Edit: I don't know how to create a poll.

You have 60-70 hours to grow attached to Nanako. As such, the attachment has time to grow naturally, even if the "you will love this fucking character god dammit" is being laid on PRETTY THICK.

Telltale did much the same thing with Clementine, except they only had 8-10 hours with her. So they laid it on so thick that you can get diabetes just looking at her for too long.

Nanako all the way. She LOVES that Junes.

Nanako is a moron, but a loveable moron.

I'm throwing in my vote for Nanako. She's just more naturally endearing to me while not even seeming like a major character for much of the game.

I like Clementine a lot too but she felt a little more forced.

Everyday's great at your Junes! Not so in the world of the Walking Dead.

#9 Posted by Fitzgerald (269 posts) -

It's too hard for me to say... Clementine seems more believable as a kid, but then again Nanako always says "Welcome back!" when you come home... TOUGH CALL.

Nanako x100000000

#11 Posted by Little_Socrates (5675 posts) -

Nanako is a major reason The Walking Dead is not one of my favorite games of the year.

You spend much more time with Nanako, plus Nanako is an innocent where as Clementine brings about some of the negative issues on herself.

#13 Posted by Hunter5024 (5621 posts) -

I think Clementine is a more believable character.

Nanako easily.

Everyday is miserable in Georgia...so Nanako.

Nanako is just so gosh darn adorable who always brings a smile to my face when she sings the Junes song.

I would say Clementine is the better character who is far better acted. Put there is a charm to Nanako and her undying love of Junes. Still giving it to clem which is major praise to The Walking Dead for me to prefer anything about it over Persona 4.

Junes! I mean Nanako of course

#21 Posted by Ramone (2961 posts) -

Clementine, not only because she's endearing but also she can take a fool out when necessary.

#22 Posted by BabyChooChoo (4398 posts) -

Junes > some stupid goddamn hat

#23 Posted by Sweep (8845 posts) -

I'm cool if y'all prefer Nanako. Just means I don't have to share Clem with any of you.

#24 Posted by Gruff182 (855 posts) -

Who the fuck is Nanako?

#25 Posted by Mr_Skeleton (5144 posts) -

Clementine hands down, Nanako is annoying.

#26 Edited by Amafi (705 posts) -

Clementine is far better written, acted, and less annoying.

#27 Posted by dr_mantas (1838 posts) -

Nanako, and I haven't played Persona 4. Loved the Walking Dead, but she's basically a walking talking plot device + emotional magnet there.

I guess the Endurance Run rubbed of on me.

#28 Posted by Robaota (145 posts) -

I can't pick. I just know that in my fanfic I'm writing they're best friends and nothing bad happens to either of them ever.

I like it when Nanako says welcome back really matter-of-factly.

Oooh, a lamp!

#31 Posted by GunslingerPanda (4711 posts) -

Clementine. Nanako was annoying.

#32 Posted by Sargus (726 posts) -

Clementine. She's a more believable character who I felt much more attached to.

#33 Posted by AuthenticM (3716 posts) -

Both are great, but my heart is with Nanako.

#34 Posted by yoshisaur (2704 posts) -

No idea who Nanako is, so I guess I vote goes for Clementine.

#35 Posted by A_Cute_Squirtle (685 posts) -

You're asking this on a website where most of its members have already formed an attachment to Nanako via the Endurance Run.

Nanako, obviously.

#36 Posted by 2HeadedNinja (1602 posts) -

Clem, no doubt about it.

#37 Posted by TheDudeOfGaming (6078 posts) -

You guys are fucking nuts. Clementine obviously.

#38 Posted by NoobSauceG7 (1242 posts) -

Nanako. No contest.

#39 Posted by Nux (2331 posts) -

Nanako, no contest.

#40 Posted by zombie2011 (4972 posts) -

Clem is annoying always going on about her parents and shit. Nanako has no mom and Dojima is never there, but she doesn't give a fuck about any of that. As long as gets to buy a kotatsu from Junes once every couple years she's happy.

#41 Posted by Fredddi43 (327 posts) -

Clementine. Character of the year. I thought I would say that for Dust, but Clementine is a character I'll truly miss.

#42 Posted by Getz (2997 posts) -

You're gonna make me choose?! You're a monster.

For me as well. We've all been there before as giantbombers.

#44 Posted by Sayishere (1840 posts) -

Oh man, i dunno. I like them both!

#45 Posted by Demoskinos (14770 posts) -

Clem because well I haven't played Persona 4.

#46 Posted by LackingSaint (1789 posts) -

Clementine for me, I don't think i've seen character development that well-done for any child character in a game.

#47 Posted by EpicSteve (6483 posts) -

Which one has had to use a gun? Clementine hardened.

#48 Posted by siln (83 posts) -

There is no wrong answer here, but I'll go to bat for Nanako. We've got veggies!!!

#49 Posted by Irvandus (2877 posts) -

Nanako, Clementine's character is iffy sometimes.

Plus (Spoiler for P4) When she is put in danger it is more effective because she has a relationship built with a player over the course of 70 hours as opposed to Clementine who is in danger from hour one so the jab is never quite as strong because you are used to Clementine always being in bad situations.

Nanako, Clemintine and The Mystery of the Haunted House
