Need to include a youtube vid in powerpoint presentation

Anyone know how to download videos off of youtube and convert them to wmv or mpeg? I've googled it and the only results are what look like scam sites. I really need this video for a school presentation.

Just add the link to a slide and open it during the presentation. When the video is finished, go back to your ppt.

If you embed a video in power point 2007 you can not control it in any way meaning it will automatically start once the slide opens. I'm hearing the new version of office power point will let you insert videos with the ability to control, i.e. pause, start, stop, rewind.
