@Brewmaster_Andy: When bottling your beer, what colour of bottles would you use for corresponding types of beer? If I recall properly, brown bottles are supposed to be better at repelling light and therefore are better at preventing a beer from being 'skunky' or from spoiling. If this was the case, why aren't all beer bottles brown? Are green or clear bottles just used for the aesthetics then?

I don't think it is appropriate to discuss alcoholic substances on this here site and as a non-drinker, this offends me.

My father is a microbrewer who has taken a good share of blue ribbons at the Alameda County Fair. I don't have any questions, but I would like to say more power to you all in your efforts.

@Brewmaster_Andy: I don't drink very often but when I do it's generally not beer. I was wondering what would be a good beer to start with is.

What is your preferred drinking device, and why? (iced mug, bottle, can, chalice?...)

The Beercast logo is amazing. Great work on whoever whipped that beauty up.

From someone who doesn't drink beer, this is still interesting as hell to me. I could definitely see myself getting into something like this someday simply because its seems like a fun hobby. I am listening to the first podcast now and its pretty damn good. Keep it up duder!

What are both of your brewing setups like? Can you go in depth? I find that stuff really fascinating.

Nice casts. I just finished listening to both of them. Keep up the good work. My Mr. Beer kit should be arriving on Monday. We will see how it goes. I am interested in small batch sizes. Do you guys always do 5 gallons?

@paudle: Unless I am doing a huuuuuuge beer (like, 9% or more) I do 5 gallons.
