"Rice and peas," or "peas and rice"?

I hate getting Pea in my rice....

Do you add rice to your mass of peas? No.
 
But you add peas to some fried rice. Yes.
 
Thus, it is "Rice and peas". (Is that a euphamism for something?)

Huh? I have never heard this expression, as i have never mixed peas and rice.... or is it rice and peas?... damn you got me confused.

What? I have never heard of this expression before... i have never mixed my rice and peas. Or is it peas and rice for that matter? Either way, they are not 2 foods that would taste good together.
