Shepard vs. York

I'm sorry, but I just have to say it: why the hell does Shephard in the Kasumi QL look so much like Agent York?? I didn't watch any of the other ME2 videos prior to this one, so suffice it to say this caught me off guard.
 
Aside from the facial hair and the ears, they could be related. Apologies for the small picture.
