SURVEY: How many moving traffic violations have you received?

I'm doing a project for my Stats class and need to know your gender and the total number of moving traffic violations (speeding, reckless driving, DUIs) you have received in your life.

If you are seriously going to do this, the amount of driving someone does has a lot more to do with how many tickets you get than gender.

When I lived in the country and had an hour of driving each day I averaged 1.5 tickets per year, now that I live in the city and maybe drive an hour a week, I haven't had a ticket in 10+ years.

@Kidavenger: My claim for conducting this survey is based off gender, not the amount of driving one does. I understand some people drive more than others and have had more opportunity to rack up tickets, but my project isn't based on that. This survey has also been preapproved by my professor.

Got a ticket for an expired registration when I was driving one of my father's trucks, but that isn't a moving violation, is it?

How about you go somewhere else to farm faulty statistics instead of registering an account just to bother us?

@psylah: I'll count that. If you got a ticket for the truck while it was parked, then I wouldn't count it.

You're not going to have a large selection of females, and you're taking age and RECENT MTVs out of the equation which could be a huge factor, depending on what you're trying to prove.

Poor survey is poor. Your trying to get unbiased information on both female and male genders in a video game forum primarily dominated by males.

Male. None. No moving violations, that is. I've been pulled for an out of date tag, but that doesn't count.

Male, 2 since 2001, speeding and rolling stop at a stop sign.

Male, 2 actual citations, a couple warnings. Speeding & Reckless, both tickets about 8-10 years ago

Male 98-04 - 4 Speeding, 1 Reckless, 2 expired inspections, 1 expired registration, 1 rolling stop sign, 3 excessive noise violations, 1 illegally modified vehicle.

I went through a modifying Subaru phase, which went along with a "I think I am a rally driver phase".

I did get a ticket once for parking on the wrong side of a "No parking past this sign" that was covered in snow and didn't notice.

Male, 1 speeding/driving without tail light, 1 speeding/failure to keep to the right. I think the cop for the second one didn't like my answers to his questions, hence the failure to keep to the right got tacked on. I've been pulled over a few other times but can't recall getting any other actual tickets. Oh, and I think the failure to keep to the right one was dropped, after I fought it.

In 11 years of driving:

• Fix it ticket for tail lights
• Used a stop sign as a yield (ran it).
• Speeding 79MPH on the highway. It was dark, saw a motorcycle behind me, but was pissed at the driver in front of me so I sped off. Did not see that it was motorcycle cop.
• "Ran a red light." Basically a made a right-hand turn in an intersection that just installed cameras. It wasn't there the day before!

Luckily even though I have all those violations, they were spaced out just right that I still have a Good Driver discount. lol

Isn't this the kind of thread that would have benefited you the most if you had submitted it as a poll?

Out of curiosity, what is your survey? What data are you trying to get? Just gender and traffic violations? Because there are other factors. Age would be a goo one to include. So you can compare males of diffrent ages to females of diffrent ages. Also I hope you're doing this somewhere else too, since this site is mostly full of males.
