The worst part is the "View All Comments" page, where they took away the indentations so that it just looks like a glob of text now. But maybe I'm just overthinking this.
Dude, yeah, I just saw it for the first time and my immediate thought was "This shit is terrible!". I don't know who was responsible for the layout there, but they need to have their web design credentials ripped away from them. Violently.
I can't judge it properly yet, since half the time either the 'service isn't available now"-and that's for watching videos, or i get an internal server error, or the new stuff doesn't load (the metrics and such)
It's overwhelming. I'd like to think I'll get used to it over time, but I have to reteach myself to figure out what I'm seeing, and yeah, it does feel all mashed up.
I strongly agree. I can't tell what's going on there. I'm constantly swaying between "YouTube is a giant Troll society", and "These people are clinically insane". Very easily the worst community in the history of communities.
I'm really hoping this is a bad April fools joke but i don't think it is. First it started with shitting up the comments so i can't read things that stupid people say and get mad at them. Now they fuck up the video page.

Youtube is just too money hungry...they are catering towards commercial companies to try and maximise their profits.
They are evolving their placement system so you have to pay for placements on keywords. They are removing the star system so commercial video's dont get avoided with low ratings. They want just pages of channels which are suitable for companies but the random excitement of finding randomness through browsing is just going going gone. Their advertisments pasted all over the place are just irratating. Why the hell have they got rid of the slider on the right and replaced it with a long list that scrolls right down to the bottom of the screen. Why when I type in word do I get google like advertisments as the first few selections offering video trailers/advertisments for nothing barely to do with what I typed in. Why are they cencoring videos that are personal opinions such as Thunderfoot's channel. Burying videos is NOT COOL and controlling peoples voices is corrupt. They are up their own arse!
I hope some other site takes off and buries Youtube! doubt it tho! I been using the Dailymotion more.. it feels like youtube 4 years ago to me with full episodes etc.
@NukeSpoon: Their April Fools joke is letting you view video's through that weird text filter thingy. Nothing to do with the layout, which has been in beta for quite a while (I believe).
