" You can have as many, as many opinions as you want....so long as ...you suitably justify them. You have give me some reasons, well done. Thats more than most people would on here.

HOWEVER, that does not mean that I have to like them and I can disagree - as you can to mine - as much as I want. Thats the debate. So we are at a bit of a stalemate my friend.

Twilight (IMO) was more entertaining for a number of reasons (You don't have to respond to these but I know you will. You are not going to give up easily i can tell).

I thought it was far more 'engaging' in its narrative than Quantum. The characters are a lot of fun, there's plenty that I recognise from the novel AND its very romantic. Quantum suffered from being stuck somewhere between Pierce Brosnon Bond (falling out a plane) and Bourne (crappy camera work).

Now when I say crappy camera work, I mean CRAPPY. I don't think they even watched their film because that has to be some of the worst editing I have ever seen. Case in point: You can't see what is happening in many of the fight scenes like the car chase, cut in between with the horses running. All the studios cared about was making an action film. Its 40 minutes shorter than Casino Royale. There are not any humerous lines in it (unlike CR) and also (To me) I didn't even find out what the hell Quantum was.

The villain is also pitiful. I've seen that fellow in Diving Bell and The Butterfly. He was terrific in that. In this he's just wasted. Completely miscast. He's too small and weedy to be a Bond villain. He did nothing in that film. Additionally, I felt that the last scene was very tacted - where he spared that fellow - was tacted on and didn't relate well to the rest of the movie.

Oddly enough, and to my joy, that director is not returning for the next Bond movie, thank god. I think that is a bit of a sign. Bring back Martin Campbell because CR was terrific.

Though I must say for this film I still thought Daniel Craig was great and the same for Dame Judy Dench - both great, but they deserved a better movie, than one which was just dull and lethargic.

Thank you and good night. (Its not really night here but you know...I've always believed that what doesn't kill you - like annoying posts - onlyyy makes you stranger...)

PS: Ohh man that title was really bad btw! Thank you! *Barrage of Tomatoes lands on stage*"

All of that is subjective, and as for everyone comparing this movie's camera work to Bourne's, it's all nonsense. Maybe you shouldn't give into the ridiculous comments and actually watch the movies more then once. There is not a SINGLE shot in the Bourne movies that uses a tripod, whereas there are a ton of steady and slow shots in Quantum. Also there was not a single fight where I couldn't make out what was happening blow for blow. If you couldn't that's tough luck, but it wasn't that hard to follow. The set pieces were breath taking and the story progressed to a reasonable place. Bond has lost the love of his life, because Vesper's previous boyfriend was working with a crime organization called Quantum. Quantum being the new SPECTRE. However no one knows what Quantum is and thus Bond is going to investigate and get revenge, very simple.  It would have made no sense to have a happy Bond prancing around making jokes and drinking Martini's shaken and not stirred... He's out for revenge and at the end he got his solace. Now he can go and become the womanizing Bond we all know.

As for Mr. Amalric, he was perfectly casted. He looked sort of lizard like and instantly made you dislike him. Also, since the story has moved towards a more realistic tone and the Bond villians of today need to have realistic motives. No one wants a deathray attacking the earth as a plot in these new bond films. This move had production values through the roof and was an enjoyable ride, as opposed to the terribly produced Twilight.

"
Certainly there was some steady shots. I'm not saying that. But IMO view the fight scenes were very poorly edited and its not just the Bourne films doing this, its A LOT of action films doing it. I think its a real cop out to dedicate so much time to Quantum, to name the film that and not explain it. Thats a plot hole my friend. Bond doesn't have to make "jokes" but he can be at least witty as he was in Casino Royale. Think of when he nearly died during the card game and what he said "that last hand nearly killed me".

He was woefully cast. He's a lizard alright. He sits in the sun and doesn't do anything. I just disliked him because he was so pitiful and small as the villain. I didn't know his motivations or his plans. He felt really flat and uninteresting. He doesn't need a death ray but he needs proper explaining. I'm sure the budget was through the roof, the production values were good, but that doesn't compensate for the lackluster directing and script. (Though I think this is a result of the director and not the screenwriter Paul Haggis - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time).

Twilight was well....you already know my thoughts: > Quantum.

Give it up pops...."you're like a dog chasing a car, you'll never get it and you wouldn't know what to do with it if you did..."

My hero!! Ahhh Marcus, I knew beneath the gunplay and your tendency to run and kneel next to objects, I could count on you!!

Seriously, you Giant Bomb people should see this guy when he goes to the cinema! He even took cover when ordering a Choc Top!!

And then after he finished eating it, yelled "Slaughtered!" during the movie. I won't tell you what happened when someone told him to shut up, lets just say it involved a lancer and I'm not talking about the car in the carpark! Say you did take that home didn't you?!

Quantum was explained... Quantum is an organization of terrorists... Also, this time, Bond is dark and out for revenge, so it would not fit him to be cracking any jokes, and he still did have his moments. Did you not see the " sabbatical scene" or the "I missed scene" people all cracked up while watching them. They were awesome. The movie had an amazing script and a villain that was more supposed to be a cog in the greater machine that is Quantum. Also saying that Twilight has a better script, or was cast better is a joke. You like Twilight, I like Quantum. Nothing you say will change my mind, so agree to disagree.

A terrorist organisation? Thats original. Motivations etc? (Note rhetorical questions: please don't reply. PLEASE GOD DON"T REPLY. Not you my lordship you may reply anytime! I meant the prince).

Hello? Bond nearly died in the last film. Poisoned, heart failure. And he made cracks. Its part of the character. At least give him something to say. Bond is meant to be Witty. Its BOND not Bourne.
People meaning yourself I take it? Lol, i can just imagine you roaring with laughter while the rest of the audience is looking around..."uhh did we miss something". *Taps on shoulder* "Excuse me Mr Prince. I know that you are slippery fellow and difficult to get hold of (liquid get it ? heeh) but uhh could you keep your gracious laughter to a minimum. I cant hear what Quantum is about? Ohhh could i get an autograph after as well? Thank you" Sneaks away..

The movie is just action. ITS ALL EXPLOSIONS AND GUNS. At least Twilight had some atmosphere and did what it set out to do efficiently, to be romantic (IMO)
And I didn't say that the cast was better (Daniel Craig is very very good, he's an experienced actor, what would you expect).

I'm glad we can agree to disagree.

And we will respect each others opinion from now on until we grow old together!

You should definitely come to the movies with my best friend and I! We are going to see Yes Man. I don't think she mind if you came along either. She is so adorable and nice!!
I won free tickets you see. Maybe I'll even write a review but feel free to come along! You are always welcome!!

Oh, I don't know, what do terrorists usually commit terror for...? Also, in this movie, Bond WAS witty, he just wasn't as much. He was more a man out for revenge this time, and that is understandable. It would be worse if he suddenly slept with thirteen other girls and cracked a bunch of suave jokes. Thirdly, I believe Quantum had a better atmosphere, but then again, I'm not into vampire on teen love stories.

Weren't you the one who said we should agree to disagree?

Hmm. Terrorists usually have reasons. They don't just sit around the board room and say "okay who wants chinese food".

Regardless of what he was doing in the film - its a sequel and its part of a franchise - so you cant disregard the foundations of the character. Thats probably why people don't like the Timothy Dalton films. Being a youngster you're probably going "WHO" "WHO" - Timothy from Hitman? No my young friend, not Timothy from Hitman...Sigh.

Ahh of course you believe that. You would disappoint me if you said otherwise: Say with a rad cool line like that I could be a Bond villain! MWahahahha! Ehhe, who-who ahhh. But yes I found Quantum to be rather dull its atmosphere and 'narrative' - it was too much of a mess to care about what was happening and it was like a catharsis.

I just love  getting in on Vampire on Teen action!! Ohhh yeah!!

Now to further extend the olive branch: are you going to join us for Yes Man? I've only got two tickets but that doesn't matter, you can still come. What do you say?! C'monnn!!

So yeah...hitman aye?

Your questions now: Yes I am indeed the girl who "spazzed out" - that is me. I think I scrubbed up quite well in that video. I did my hair in the morning for that video. OMG it took forever. First I had to shampoo it, then condition it and then I had to put this special hair straightener through it and THEN I blow dried it!! Its looks nice don't you think?! Omg, i hope you think so.
I also had to pick out the shoes but unfortunately you can't see them. Omg, everyone says they suit me!

I will tell you shortly where we are going to see the movie. It won't be far! But keep watching your inbox okay?! We'll make a day of it! I hope you enjoy the park as well sir!! Its going to be a BEAUTIFUL day.

Its going to be a BEAUTIFUL day."
I don't know if our tastes match each other, if you were indeed the same girl from that video. I mean you were about to eat your shirt from over excitement... For Twilight...

Yes it does because its a very fun and romantic film that some of these geniuses haven't even seen, but decide to rubbish because it has a teenage girl in it. I'm sick of hearing keyboard warriors on Gaming forums trying to tear down things because they're popular and saying "its sucks" - there's a new sheriff in town...

I havent read the novel, and everything I know about this series is only through my 13 year old sister. I was thinkcant seem to muster up the ening about going to see the movie though to see what all the fuss is about. I just havent been able to muster up the enthusiasm yet to actually do it.

The whole movie is a big "don't have sex or you'll get vampire STD's movie" and the it's just shot horribly. So aside from a dumb concept, it has terrible choreography. In the vampire on enemy scene, you can almost see the wire holding the actors up... It's all incredibly cheesy. It might be okay for 12 year old girls who want some corny love story, but I enjoy movies with a bit more substance, or at the very least passable special effects.

Actually I had formed the basis of my opinion, way back when I read the first book, so you can, can the condescending attitude.

Biggest Loser, did you hear that Chris Weitz (golden compass) is directing "New Moon". I am really excited to see how that turns out, and the budget for the film has been raised by a lot as well so the special effects should be more believable then in Twilight. I know and admit that Twilight does not have the best direction/pruduction quality, but I still really enjoyed it, I just really hope that between the new budget and director the next installment will be leages ahead.

I did hear that but I don't know - I would hope for a bigger budget BUT - the change in director might not be that great. Like Compass was a huge flop. I've seen it but it didn't do that well. And I just think the director of this film was appropriate because the subject matter obviously seems to interest her given some of her previous films.

I never read "The Golden Compass" but I did enjoy the movie, I thought it was pretty underrated and I loved Sam Eliots role in the film, but I do think that he will be able to do a good job directing New Moon, like anything it has potential to be bad but I have faith.

Compass was a bad movie based on a bad series of books that is hideously overrated by the target audience. (kind of like twilight), But I'll leave it at that, since I really don't want to debate right now.

lol I didn't say it changed my life or anything, its not a great movie, but I enjoyed it, I would never debate that its anything revolutionary or amazing because its not, but I found it entertaining...if you did not...well that's fine.

ill take rotten tomatoes rating for it. this movie fuckin stinks. it looks terrible too, i mean come on, that vampire dude is WIERD LOOKIN man! and that chic is a dog, and shes been in a bunch of indie movies, always playing the depressed girl with a lot of angst and shes always so boring and never stood out in any role, she must have family in the biz.

and whoever said this dork dude was the next brad pit is CRAZY. no way dude, you gotta actually be cool, you see, guys love Pitt too cause hes fuckin awesome, and he's always been a really good actor. this kid is just a fad and the only people who actually like him are emo little girls. in fact the only people who like this movie are girls, the book sucks just as much as the movie.
