verizon wireless cell phone question

Does anyone kno if its possible to change your phone while in the middle of a contract? And if so, how much would it cost, is there some type of fee or something. I have the alias right now and I want to get the ENV2 but I still got over a year left on my contract.

You have to buy the phone at full price from them, but yes you can do it. You have to be eligbile for an upgrade to switch at a discounted price but if you get a phone at full price on the second market (ebay, etc as long as it's unlocked) or get a full price handset from them.

Short answer: yes.

Once you get your new phone, you can do the switching on your verizon online account in less than five minutes.  It's easy, I've done it several times myself.  My current Verizon phone is one I bought mid-contract from a friend.
