Err, there isn't going to be another great war unless something extremely dramatic changes in the current status quo. Why? The US kicks too much ass and Nuclear weapons have made great power war impossible.

That was kind of the point. The US in a huge decline and their status as the worlds foremost super power is swiftly being lost to China. Europe may not exist for much longer either, with certain countries ready to jump ship.

The US isn't 'declining' in any significant way. The recession, while bad, is temporary, and in real terms doesn't indicate significant damage to the actual economy itself, like in the case of the collapse of the USSR and the Great Depression. The economy is doing badly, it isn't broken. In military terms the US still kicks so much ass it's a joke. Look at what happened in Iraq, the Americans won so quickly they didn't know what to do with the themselves. There is literally no military on the planet that will come anywhere near the US now or for the foreseeable future. China's pride and joy is one Soviet carrier from the 80s. Even assuming retrofitting, the Chinese are technologically behind most European nations, let alone the US which is a full two generations of military technology ahead of any other country.

Only one country is considering leaving the EU, and that's the UK, which has been predicted since long before the crisis. At most, one or two countries will leave the Eurozone, however they will remain in the EU and probably return to the Euro in the next ten years.
