whats with the overhype on the joker??

everywhere i look there has to be a pic of the joker.

this is what i mean by overhyping the damn joker.

I do agree with you but instead of saying anything on the matter I think the pic you got there sums it up pretty well.  That guy just looks outright disgusting.  A lot of these people were not batman or joker fans beforehand, its just a hype thing that will go away as you said after Halloween.

Totally done with the fad. However, the Joker is what made the Dark Knight good.

I see what you mean but the film has been out lass than a fortnight, less than a week here in the UK, and is insanely popular plus it is one of the last appearances on screen of Heath Ledger. It will die away in time but for now enjoy it, if nothing else at least it's something good instead of something lame.

Oh and to the guy who said Batman is weak nice try at flame baiting....

The Joker was just awesome. I have a "why so serious" poster and t-shirt shipping alond with a I believe in harvey dent shirt.

It is well justifed that the Joker has become alot of peoples "icon"... he was awesomeo!

The Joker isn't overhyped. Heath Ledger's performance was awesome. I'd say the movie is overhyped.

I know there is going to be 5mil jokers for halloween no doubt.

I don't think it's overhyped at all. Even though I see everyone posting "why so serious" it doesn't bother me at all. It just shows great the movie really was and how the movie captured the audience. I got to admit though, that pic is disturbing.

I think part of it is because Heath Ledger died and people want to pay respect. Or something.
I think he was fantastic but not better than Jack Nicholson. I'd say they're equal, but two very different Jokers.

I dont think the movie is overhyped what-so-ever.. I was so impressed with the movie, and even more impressed with Heath Ledgers performance. I'd go and see the movie again easily.

As for everyone with all of the usernames/pictures/dressing up like him etc, that is extremely annoying... I hate when people follow the trends and do what everyone else does (goth/emo/1337 etc)... By trying to be individual, they just join a cult which is more depressive and annoying.

I dont have anything against people who are in the class' as what i've mentioned above, but it is pretty annoying to look back on.
