Why cant girls throw?

I have read a few articles about the military, and I came across this article which explains myths and rumors about women in the military. The article talks about females throwing abilities:

8. The "women can't throw grenades because they're biologically different" claim:
     The reality is - yes,  many women can't throw grenades or even baseballs - but throwing style is not determined by biology--anyone can learn to throw. Critics say that there is a structural difference between male and female arms or shoulders-in the rotator cuff- that dictates different throwing motions. If you ask any orthopedic surgeon, anatomy professor or women coaches - they'll tell you that there is no structural or biological reason why men and women should throw in different ways. Muscle size, yes - but the way the "hinges" work - no.
      The fundamental mistake that many women make is in trying to throw with their body facing the target, rather than rotating their shoulders and hips ninety degrees away from the target, and then swinging them around in order to accelerate the ball. For some inexplicable reason the military doesn't deem it necessary to work at training women in these things and in strength and conditioning early in boot camp.

Practice and determination can do wonders.  If a girl truly wants to learn how to throw....they can.

Same goes for us guys.

I myself, dont have to time to learn how to throw a ball properly and really dont care if girls can throw better than me.

Think Again They Can

Girls aren't built to throw or to do any other physical activity.They are the opposite of the male.There are females who break the mold and can throw,can jump high,can run fast..they are a rare breed.Even still for every woman that is incredibly athletic..there is a man that is even more athletic than her.It's the way we were made.

Ehhh, I wouldn't say that.  My girlfriend has a hell of an arm for being so petite, shes puts me to shame sometimes but hey I wasn't built for sports, just lovin :P

This sounds pretty down right sexist.  "Rare breed"? Uh, no. Any female who applies herself can "throw, jump high and run fast." Saying females "aren't built...to do any other physical activity" is one of the most absurd statements I've ever heard.

I guess cause a lot don't do it on a regular basis or never picked up and then went on to get the skill down as kids like boys do since girls really don't play football, baseball and kickball and whatever else on the playground where as boys start in kindergarten or when ever with all their friends and then keep playting through highschool at times.

I dunno, all my girl cousins can throw prolly just as good as any of us guys but thats cause we kinda all grew up together and all did the same stuff.  Plus I think they all played sports as kids.

My girlfriend played softball in middle school and high school. She can throw. Lots of girls can throw.

Because their hand movement is only suppose to go up and down

Of course it's not as any of this really matters (especially with the type of society we live in today) because it's just physical activity which pales in comparison to things that actually matter.
