I can't tell yo how many times I have tried to clear out my backlog of games, turns out I have very little will power when it comes to a steam sale... good luck on your quest duder!

This is a noble quest sir and I think you may inspire me to do the same.

I have tried something similar once before and I have to admit doing the sequels immediately after really backfired on me as I started a couple games halfway and then didn't finish (I was going to go through the whole Shadow Hearts series and burned out midway through the second game.).

I found better success when I rotated styles.

e.g. playing

JRPG-AA-RTS-FPS-Sports-Platformer-Puzzle-repeat

instead of

JRPG-JRPG-JRPG-AA-AA-AA-RTS-RTS-RTS etc.

My friend gave me a DS Rom cart with every decent-to-good RPG released for the damn system since 2006. And I plan to play them all. You think your backlog is huge? lol

I'm in the process of clearing out my backlog of games (which for me also means trying to S-rank them all) which includes stuff like Just Cause 2, Red Dead, Deus Ex etc.

I was making a lot of good progress! Then I found out Rayman Origins was onsale at my local Gamestop and I went in to get that, and walked out with that + Cathrine.

Backlog, gets smaller 1 month out of the year...then doubles in size.

I'd recommend Aquaria first. It's like Super Metroid and Fragile Dreams had a one-night stand together.

When you tackle the STALKER games, there are some mods that fix the games and make them less crazy janky and broken. Definitely worth looking into.
