Just as the title say..whats the single best (not your top 3, but #1 only) song.
Me: Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones
Your single all-time favorite song
" Dirge For November by Opeth. "you're a fucking king.
mine is The Apostle in Triumph - Opeth
Impossible to pick one, but when put on the spot the first thing that comes to mind is Mr Jones by Counting Crows.
The Apostle In Triumph is very good also. That acoustic intro is just facemeltingly awesome.
mmm, hard to say, but i think, at this given moment, im gonna go with... Sympathy for the Devil: Rolling Stones.
" @Ahmad_Metallic: The Apostle In Triumph is very good also. That acoustic intro is just facemeltingly awesome. "Did you know that that acoustic intro was supposed to be the outro of "Requiem" but they made a mistake when they made the record ?
Also, what in the world are most of these "favorite" songs of all-time? I haven't heard of probably half of them. Are they all coming from the non-USA contingent or teenagers that I can no longer relate with?
" The Spirit Of Radio - Rush "Saw them in the movie I Love You Man and am not a fan. That kind of rock just bores me. I am surprised they had escaped me my whole life.

" Confortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Best song ever written. Confirmed. "Vastly improved when covered by Scisssor Sisters. Now it no longer puts me to sleep.

I just listened to that Scissor Sisters version of Comfortably Numb. Yuuuuuuuuuuck. I'm down for remakes and an interesting take on old songs. But what the hell did I just listen to? It's like the Bee Gees and Jamiroquai produced a special needs child.
Ya just dont get it, do ya scott ?"@SefaRed said:

I'm European, so..I don't know. I'd go for the teenagers argument.
I love the whole Magnolia soundtrack, but I've always loved 'One' more than any other song. I tend to hum it to myself when I'm not thinking about anything.
Three dog night have a great version too, which oddly enough makes me think of:
