A Night in Tunisia by Dizzy Gillespie. There are a lot of different versions, many by Gillespie himself, but not just him since the song has become a jazz standard. My favorite is from the 1954 album "Afro".
@Jazz: Best so far. (Although I can definitely get with the Rolling Stones fans). By far my favorite movie of all-time. Although I would've chosen Wise Up if I were going for the most impactful Aimee Mann song/moment in Magnolia.
Also, what in the world are most of these "favorite" songs of all-time? I haven't heard of probably half of them. Are they all coming from the non-USA contingent or teenagers that I can no longer relate with?

I've got to agree. Comfortably Numb really is an amazing track. Best guitar riff ever! I get a shiver down my spine every time I hear it. In a good way.
I just listened to that Scissor Sisters version of Comfortably Numb. Yuuuuuuuuuuck. I'm down for remakes and an interesting take on old songs. But what the hell did I just listen to? It's like the Bee Gees and Jamiroquai produced a special needs child.
@RWL_MU_OSU: I'm European, so..I don't know. I'd go for the teenagers argument. I love the whole Magnolia soundtrack, but I've always loved 'One' more than any other song. I tend to hum it to myself when I'm not thinking about anything. Three dog night have a great version too, which oddly enough makes me think of:
