Heads up if your deleting game data

I rented R3 last weekend (and loved it) and decided to go ahead and delete my game data. After about 5 minutes of waiting for it it delete my ps3 turned off and it changed into corrupt data. So i went to go and delete the data, this process took about 30 minutes. I just wanted to give you a friendly warning that if this happens don't go re-formatting your HD like i almost did. it just takes a damn long time to delete

Thanks for the heads up. Mine won't start after the install, so I though maybe I should delete the data, then that seemed to hang, but I guess the 15 minutes I waited wasn't even enough!

Guess I'll give it another try to delete! Then I'll try another 45 minutes to re-download the updates, and hopefully another 15 of install, and then maybe I can play! Reminds me of the PC days I thought I had left behind where getting a game meant nothing, it was the 3 hours of troubleshooting it onto your system that really mattered.

Took a total of 53 minutes for me, but once done I was able to reinstall and everything works.

PS3 is such a piece of shit... oh, and it's "OS" too. Probably thousands of files to delete and it takes a second to delete each one.
