Really weird that it's PS4 and PC exclusive. SF4 was close to the only reason to own a 360 in Japan.

I am stupidly hyped for this! Can't wait to see what Capcom has in store for this franchise, especially considering their financial woes and floundering franchises.

@corevi: Wouldn't the PS3 version have worked fine for them? It's what we used for tournaments in the U.S. More importantly, I'm surprised there's no mention of this for arcade, even now fighting games are way bigger in arcades than on console.

Can we take this to mean the FGC on Xbone will be dead now? Mostly because of this but also as Sony makes probably the best D-pads for fighting games

There are gifs of it circulating on neogaf. I won't keep up with this cat and mouse game of mirroring videos and getting them taken down. It looked a lot like SF4 for those wondering but much cleaner and crisper.

Yeah, visually this is definitely the smallest step forward the series has had (from a full number to full number standpoint, anyway). Too bad.

Man, PS4 is really killing it with exclusive fighting games, as now they've got both Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5. I still have a hunch that a few years, they'll be a re-release on both consoles.

@eternalvigil: Don't forget Guilty Gear Xrd, which is also a Sony exclusive (PS3 and 4).

My guess is that it's timed exclusivity. I certainly can't imagine they'd make the deal if they didn't think it was more beneficial either way. Maybe they were working on an xbox one version, but then cancelled it because Mega Man was in it.

I wonder how long this has been in development. Could be the reason why Dimps didn't work on Ultra SFIV at all.

Wasn't the director talking about how hard it would be to fund SF5? I guess he found a way. looks good but i was hoping for a move away from all the muscle freaks.

I love that they have the "beast is unleashed" Daigo clip - everything about the trailer is really well done, a good slice of fighting game history. Ironically the game footage itself is probably the least interesting bit.

Because the models and animations look completely different. Tons of work must have gone into even those split-second clips.
