We'd known Insomniac Games was going to debut its first foray into the realm of the multiplatform at this year's E3, but what, exactly, the game would be was entirely unknown... until now!

Ted Price brought his patented cheerful demeanor to EA's E3 2011 press conference to announce OverStrike, a new action title featuring a crew of sarcastic, violent-minded mercenaries out to save the world from evil. Probably.

Truth be told, we don't really know what the game is, yet. The trailer presented information on the game's four primary protagonists, their general styles, the kinds of absurd gadgets and weapons they'll employ, and gave an indication of the game's generally tongue-in-cheek demeanor--think Team Fortress 2 mixed with Human Target, or something along those lines--but no actual gameplay was shown.

Regardless, color us intrigued. We all like shooting guns, but something other than a deathly serious blockbuster military shooter sounds pretty good right now. We'll be sure to dig up everything we can on the game once E3 opens up its doors.

Kinda reminds me of the incredibles for some reason.

I don't care what this game is, whatever Insomniac releases, I'll buy it. It looked pretty fun, humor plus ridiculous weapons? Could be great.

Cool set-up and characters, but what is the game? A shooter?

Love the vibe and the characters already.

Made a good first impression. Great style, and looks to have a colourful, light sense of humour. Plus even more Steve Blum.

The characters seemed pretty weak.

I like the atmosphere, but they really havnt told us what kind of game it is.

I hate the name, but am very interested.

I think this game looks great. No gameplay yet, of course, but the characters and tone all look pretty good to me. 
 
I just hope it doesn't end up being Brute Force 2012. But I have faith in Insomniac.

Just need some gameplay video to know if this holds up. I can say that I give my trust to Insomniac to make this game good.

The trailer insomniac showed for overstrike was very amusing.A mix of terminator/team fortress 2 and sprinkled with some agent 007 vibe.Awesome!.

Here's hoping that the story lets you juggle between all four characters while they're doing their own parts of a mission. I'd hate it if you were just one guy with three other AI controlled characters following you.

This is the first game I'm legit excited for from E3 so far.

Sounds interesting. Insomniac makes great games, and I'm really excited I'll be able to play this on my 360.

This could be fun if they can pull it off.  Special ops with a touch of comedy similar to Uncharted.  I'm interested.

I'd guess with certainty its a 3rd person shooter/action game, what else do studios make these days? A cross between ratchet and resistance.
