Great Indie Game Title May Be a Little Too Addictive
I'm usually not that big on "indie" games, especially platformers, but every so often a game will come along and totally catch me by surprise. I'm pleased that Game Dev Tycoon was one such game.
A big weakness this game has is also one of its big strengths - and that is its simplicity. While the simplicity will have you wanting to do *more* with the game, there is enough of the addictive gameplay to keep you plugging away. Sometimes longer than you expected or wished. There is also one great silver lining to the game being a bit too simplistic, and that is that it has in-game support for mods.
You'd be doing yourself a favor to buy yourself this off Steam, the Steam Workshop is great for getting mods for this. In the spirit of keeping a great, simplistic game review short and sweet, if you are a fan of any tycoon or sim game - or perhaps just want to try one out - I would highly recommend you give this a shot.
