Monster hunter in the Future!
Now for all those fans out there that enjoy The Monster Hunter Franchise there is another game to sink your teeth into, but is it just a bad remake? Is it a bad version of it? Or is it the greatest version ever created! You are about to find out.
Now Game-play wise it plays fairly similar Monster Hunter, where monster hunter specializes in the fantasy aspect that everyone has a choice in what weapon you want, Gods eater limits you to basically a 3 in one weapon. A sword, A gun, and a crazy ass mouth. The nice transition to having a single type is there isn't really muddling around for new players who are indecisive about what they want. You get one weapon type so no need worry about your choices but the opposite side is true that people who are vets of genre will feel lacking with a single weapon type But the combat feels fairly fresh.
Now the story is a bit anime in the sense you are with teenagers that either whine, brood, or somewhere in between. But it still works for the setting with post apocalyptic world, which also is a nice aspect for me personally. Jungles and desert feel dull sometimes and to be honest I'm a sucker for Post Apocalypse-era. And it's a nice change from monster hunter's world.
Though the game might lose some depth with the lack of fishing and mining but the trade off is a bit easier solo play and just as addictive of gameplay. The game could be better, and more options but the game is very solid and is worth your attention if you are interested in a game like monster hunter without the monster hunter world!
