Steve Gaynor has announced an August 15 release date for The Fullbright Company's debut game, Gone Home. It will be $20 on Steam or DRM-free through their website, for PC, Mac and Linux.

Gone home is an interactive exploration simulator. Interrogate every detail of a seemingly normal house to discover the story of the people who live there. Open any drawer and door. Pick up objects and examine them to discover clues. Uncover the events of one family's lives by investigating what they've left behind.

As someone who adored Minerva's Den, I'm really excited to check this out.

Finally... This will be my main game for August, followed by Saint's Row 4, Space Hulk, Final Fantasy 14, Duck Tales Remastered, Killer is Dead, Etrian Odyssey 4... Oh, man, August will be pretty packed...

Its $20 and i'd say most of the important logistical information has been released. In terms of actual information about the content of the game they're probs just keeping it on the DL about that stuff cause of the game's mysterious nature.
