Is there no way to do this? I haven't really tried seeing if I could join a friend or not yet, but I was browsing through almost every tab and have not found an option in creating a private "lobby" or session. I remember in GTA 4 it was a bit complicated to do since you had to go through your phone and set up a free roam game type and then you had to change the player amount to private only...
