    So if I see someone with a flaming helmet, is that a Bungie employee (I heard they had flaming helmets in Halo 3). Or is it just another piece of armour you can unlock?

    In Halo 3 they were but in Reach it came with the Legendary editions.

    I think its a preorder bonus? It was an employee/community contributor reward in 3 but I heard they made it a preorder bonus along with recon armor. 
     
    Kinda riddicolous, those things used to mean something.
