To start off, I really like games that have a score (the music kind), and I like Halo's especially.

I really like what Martin and Michael did with Reach's theme and how they made it different from the main Halo theme but managed to keep the same feel. I really dig Reach's menu music as well, which kinda has a different vibe that makes me think of desserts for some reason.

    Thoughts?

    Desserts?

Yeah, like all the Halo OSTs this one is pretty awesome, really gets you psyched up in that manly Sci-Fi way.

Desserts? As in cake and pie?

I do dig the music, though. Honestly, the music is probably my favorite part about the entire series, and Reach is no exception.

At first I was a little disappointed that the songs weren't exactly like Halo 3's, but the more I've played, the more I like the soundtrack.

ohhh man I'm an idiot. Deserts! Like, with sand! The undelicious kind.

I have the OST on repeat at work today, and it's been a pretty great day.

The music was really good, but I wished it had stayed more like levels 1 and 2.  Level 1 sounded like something right out of Heretic and the first part at the Oni base in 2 sounded like a song from Doom.

I think my all time favorite Halo music in the Halo 3 menu music. It's the bonus track Never Forget on the OST.

I would leave the menu open for a long time.

    Marty O'Donnell writes amazing music.

He's also responsible for the other excellent sound qualities in the game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. That music is amazing.

On a semi-related note: What's the Soviet sounding theme that Vinny played over the Reach TNT a few minutes ago? It sounds really familiar.

I stopped listening to the ME2 soundtrack so that I could bring in my new lover, the Reach soundtrack.

@Brendan:  Holy crap we have the same name. It's always Brandon or some other crappy offshoot. Keep it Brendan, brother. Also: the music in Stargate Universe sounds a lot like ME2 music.
@HandsomeDead: I was asking that in the chat, but I didn't get an answer. Maybe something from Red October?

@Brenderous: Is this it? It sounds similar but it could just sound like the song we're actually looking for.

My only complaint is that during the final scene before the credits roll they should have played the halo 1 menu screen music

I wish there were more audio options in the game. At many points I just wanted to turn down all the extraneous sound effects and voices just to hear the music =/.

Really surprised at how limiting Reach's options were. No option for disabling auto-tracking for weapons... uggghhhh

Halo games have always had a great soundtrack, and I've always appreciated them for that
Reach's theme is also pretty good
