I have noticed that almost all other games are becoming aim and aim through your sight type games like that of call of duty. i know its too early, but I bet half life 3 will be like that as well. So the question is why isnt halo like that? Its a lot more satisfying.
Halo: Reach
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010
A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.
why wont bungie adhere to the call of duty style
because bullets go exactly where your crosshair is pointed at, there's no weapon sway last I checked.
Because different games have different styles that make them different and serve different fans and different types of gameplay that people might like. Differently.
Why wasn't "The Last Exorcism" like "Saw V"?
We don't even know if Bungie is making another First-person shooter after Reach. Maybe they will have secondary aiming and maybe they wont but it shouldn't matter if the game plays well. As for the other crazy you spewed, no Valve will not have aim-down the sights for HL3 because that shit is terrible on a keyboard and mouse and is completely unnecessary.
'Cos we want all our FPSes like Call of Duty, am I right?
No. ADS might be a lot more satisfying for you, but that's not the style bungie wanted for their Halo games, it's not what Valve wants for their games, and I'm glad for it.
Unless Valve turn from being the best developer out there and decide to turn into an average developer that adheres to industry and genre standards, then no, Half-Life 3 will not be like that, and nor should a Halo game.
They're designed like the old style of shooter, and they play well that way. They don't need an ADS to make your shots more accurate, the most you get of this is zooming with a gun with a scope. Otherwise, there's no reason for it. Keep the Call of Duty things out of my Halo.
Because, on the modern consoles, they invented this gangsta shit and they're gonna stay by it?
Or because they know they're making Halo, not "OH WE WANNA BE LIKE COD SO PEOPLE MIGHT BUY OUR GAME" Game Number 200281
The moment Halo goes too far down a path's similar to another game... that's it.
I'd rather more games had the Halo reticule accuracy than the awful aim down sight rubbish. Heck, I'd rather there were more good Sci-Fi shooters in space than crappy war games.
Exception granted to DICE.
Nah we already get a call of duty game every year and 9/10 other FPS games that do it the same way.
Plus that slow aiming just isn't how halo is suppossed to be.
And i think spartans have the reticles superimposed upon their visor HUD or whatever so they don't really need to look down the sights anyway.
" Nah we already get a call of duty game every year and 9/10 other FPS games that do it the same way.Agreed. There are far more than enough games following this style.
Some people may find looking down sights more satisfying, but I personally find having multiple options much more satisfying.
Because, Amazingly, not every game had to be like COD. Just watched the Kessler kam about half life, and that was the biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard, keep that generic crap out of my halo and half life.

I dont know about you guys but I dont mind that you cant aim down the sights in halo or any valve games. It don't think one style is better than another, they each just suit certain types of games, and the way halo plays I just dont think its would work. What im confused about his what makes aiming down a sight more satisfying? Wouldn't you get the same satisfaction with the scopes in halo?

Fuck off, not every game needs to be Call of Duty.
This thread is fucking stupid flame bait.
CoD 5 and 6 sucked badly. Their story part was worthless junk. CoD4 could tell a reasonable story and thats about the only one.

Halo was around before COD got console popular. It has its own unique play style revered by many people, most of which think is superior to COD.
