  • mugugipan replied to the topic half as#ed game in the Left 4 Dead board.
The whole campaign or whatever feels like a cheap horde. They should make many levels put a story and try to create many different situations. This game is surprising compared to their last game, the orange box, which had so much value.

  • I once went in a race and found a infernus. Being stupid as I was I tried to block the car in and get the driver out. Then I found out that you can shoot the driver and take it before the race starts. Now I cant find it anywhere in any race or street. Oh and the one I got from Bernie, I was screwed over, because I saved ...

  • In comparison to Halo 3, it is a rip off. I agree. But for someone who hasn't played Halo (if there is anybody out there) it could be worth it. Even if they have to get good with the controls first.

  • I know what you mean, the worst part has to be the multiplayer when people are smart enough to shoot trough the walls, How is anybody supposed to get into cover. The game definitely needs better cover.

Gameplay

Level Design

Massive battlefield is left open for 8 players (blue dots). All enemy and ally locations (red) connected in real time through some way. Situations and objectives are told via Video Comcast (VC) in real time while the players are traveling through the battle field and once before the level itself has loaded.

Health Mechanics

Players will have a shield that instantaneously recharges but drains extremely fast.

Players will also have a health indicator via EKG line with three stages, green (healthy), yellow (hurt), red (dying). Health also declines extremely fast with damage.

  • This is designed for players in multi-player games to be able to chip away at their opponent’s life as well as be able to take out an opponent all at once.
  • If players die in campaign they do not re-spawn.

Weapon Mechanics

Every weapon has a concussive blast that can push players horizontally as well as vertically. It can also push the view and or aim of the player. Getting hit hard in the gut might push the players view or aim down as to indicate clenching from pain, or getting shot with a shot gun might push player back (as well as knock view or aim down), or being in the vicinity of a grenade may cause player to be knocked down completely of his feet, or etc…

Types of Vehicles

Air:

Helicopter

Land:

Almost anything

Water:

Almost anything

I own a xbox 360 and its sucks because its dying on me. The frame rate is dying (even in the dash board) and I hate paying for the online service.

But its not like the others are any better. Wii is just plain stupid. Not the concept but the execution of the games. I have played Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy, and I liked both of them, but it does not justify me getting it. Especially for Super Paper Mario for which the motion controls proved to be useless.

Playstation 3 does have its good points like Blue Ray, which I always knew would win (though not as quickly as it did) but I hate the controller, the analog sticks don't tilt properly and playing shooters with them is just too highly inaccurate. Even if I get a third party control they never get the software right. If it only had some type of auto aim help  or it the sensitivity between the varying degrees that you tilted the analog stick felt natural, I would definitely  have had one by now.

Pac Man Revamped (XBLM)
Too many titles have been recreated for the HD era. Not too many, however, feel anything like their older counter parts. Along came Pac Man: CE and changed all that. CE feels like Pac Man to the core. The changes made make it all the better, but the creators ...

Halo 3: Combat Perfected (X360)
I was one of the few people who was not expecting to like this game. Much to my delight, however, Bungie has more than sold it to me. Halo 3 is one of the finest fps games ever. Which is not a big shock since Halo: Combat Evolved is ...
