    Overview

    Hat Kid is the playable protagonist of A Hat in Time. She commands a hat-shaped star-ship, running entirely on time capsules as its fuel. Despite her silent nature, in line with classic 3D platformers, she's shown to have a very expressive personality in her diary entries. Calling attention to the "weird" people she meets in her adventures, as well as being self-concious on someone watching her when she starts playing with dolls in her idle animation.

    She likes playing tricks on her enemies whom she deem jerks, like the residents of Mafia Town who are responsible for the loss of all her time capsules.
