ReTarDedFisHy saw this yesterday - and shat in his fishbowl.

Indigo Prophecy is one of ReTarDedFisHy's favorite games, so he expects Heavy Rain to be pretty awesome.
Which it will, no doubt. Graphics alone, this game is amazing.
Anyone who's played Indigo Prophecy knows that Quantic Dream knows how to combine deep narrative and a chilling story with a great gameplay experience and awesome QuickTime Events, and multiple endings and paths.

for people that haven't watched it skip to about 3 mins in cause its all talking then it shows some gameplay.

seems nice but im not sure what this game is about or how it will turn out so ill wait before i make a choice if its good or not and i think so far it seems ok.

ReTarDedFisHy whats indigo prophecy like? i haven't heard it til recently when i was reading a small article on heavy rain.

Indigo Prophecy is a "psychological thriller" much like Heavy Rain.
It's a game where your actions can change the events in the story and is very movie-like.
To be honest, it's actually like playing a movie itself. The production value is great, it's just like a movie.
Movie movie movie. Can't stop saying it, but hell, Indigo Prophecy is a movie.

The first two thirds of Indigo Prophecy probably represents one of the best supernatural murder mysteries I've experienced in any medium. The last third of the game made me question whether or not Quantic Dream canned their lead writer near the end of the scripting stage and hired someone else to rewrite the final act and take the whole story in a different direction(the completely wrong direction IMO).  

I can only hope Quantic Dream learned a lesson and will make sure Heavy Rain keeps a consistent tone throughout it's narrative. All in all I am very excited and just a little bit wary.

Heavy Rain looks beautiful but I don't know if I'm going to get it. From what I've heard and seen, it just looks like a giant quick time event.

Soooooo much like Indigo Prophecy.  It has a different name here in the UK, but I'm so used to hearing Indigo Prophecy that I've forgotten the name here :'(

Heavy Rain is made by the same people that made Indigo Prophecy / Faranheit I believe.

I'm very impressed with what I'm seeing so far with Heavy Rain.

The fact that Heavy Rain is a PS3 exclusive makes me sad. I won't buy a console just for one game. Hope they release a 360 or PC version...
