    Overview

    Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients is a strategy simulation game developed and published by Longbow Games for the PC.

    The game offers a sandbox of ancient Italy before the rise of Rome where the player can take on the helmet of one latin, greek, celtic or etruscan faction. Gameplay-wise it revolves around empire management with a heavy focus on supply lines and conquest. Uniquely, the game features a strategic zoom to seamlessly move between the tactical and strategy maps at any given time. Additionally to the sandbox and dynamic campaign, there are also historic campaigns introduced by DLC such as "The Eagle KIng" about the exploits of King Pyrrhus of Epirus.

    Longbow has taken strides to enable user modding and offers a built-in map editor to let players create their won historical or fantasy worlds.
