    Hitman: Absolution review

Right off the bat, the controls are greatly improved over Blood Money actually greatly is an understatement during BM i cant tell you how many times I released the wrong trigger when I was trying to choke someone and get caught, usually leading to the person I was trying to choke running off and taddeling on me. This usually lead to a gunfight which 90% of the time meant you had to reload a checkpoint. Which leads to another thing I liked about absolution, if things get hairy agent 47's new bullet time thing, cover system and improved aiming allow you to actually get through a gunfight. Now why isnt Absolution as good as Blood Money?

is it the more linear levels?

No because some of the levels were actually the best in the series even though they were on the linear side.

is it the annoying scoring system?

No it was stupid but it didn't really hurt the game for me.

is it because there are not enough assassinations?

No but it would've definitely been nice to have more but to the games credit some of the escape missions were really fun.

The main reason why Absolution didn't work for me is SPIRIT

here's what i mean after each mission in Blood Money there would be a newspaper post detailing how many people you killed and there would be a sketch of your face if there were witnesses sure it was was obviously a template but it was awesome that's one thing i remember off the top of my head, but there were tons of little things like that combined with it's overall light and goofy tone made it so much fun you could overlook a lot of its flaws. Absolution vastly improved the fundamentals but it unnecessarily sacrificed the spirit with a new darker more serious tone which still worked to a degree but it just didn't fit in with the previous entrys in the series.

Overall, although it disappointed me, and it's certenly not as fun as Blood Money was there is still fun to be had so give it RENT

It's not exactly the Hitman you remember, but it's still good fun 0

It's been a while since the last Hitman game and since the outset people haven't had entirely high hopes for Absolution. A lot of the early promotional material made it look more like a shooter than the murder sandbox we know and love. And then there were sexy leather clad nuns parading about, which most thought kind of stupid and ill-fitting the tone of Hitman. On the former I've got to say that I believe for the most part Absolution succeeds in providing us with open ended death puzzles and isn...

One hell of a ride 0

Hitman uses snakes as a gunrack. Hes badass like that. Hitman Absolution was a game I never expected to play. It popped up on the Xbox Live games for gold program so I thought I would give it a shot. Little did I know how much I would be sucked in.StoryThe game thrusts you right into the thick of things as the Hitman agent 47 and starts you off on a routine mission for the Agency. Your task is to bring down Diana Burnwood, your old handler who has now "gone rogue" according to the Agency. At fir...
