Same as the title says I want to know from anyone who has played it if you get the whole game for the $4.99 they are asking for it. The reason I ask is a checked the in app purchases and its things like act 2-5 and hint coins and that doesn't make me super confident.
Hitman Go
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Apr 17, 2014
Square Enix translates the series' assassination-based gameplay into a stylish mobile puzzle game that stays true to Hitman's murderous roots.
This game looks neat but do you get the whole game for $5?
@haruko: You get the full game, but you just have to unlock each new level by doing well on the previous ones. The in-app purchases are if you want to pay to unlock levels 2-5 instead of unlocking them through doing well at the game. The hint coins are optional ways to help in doing well, but reviews have indicated they are not necessary for the game.
So, for $5, you get everything that is in the game right now. Like most games, though, you have to progress by doing well at challenges in it.
Yeah, it's the full game — but like all mobile games you can pay to advance, if you want to.
It's worth the 5 bucks, I think, especially on an iPad. But it might go on sale for 99 cents at some point in the near future, so if it's not a must-own now I'd say wait tbh.
Square Enix can suck my fucking nuts if they think they're ever seeing a penny from me.
I have a feeling they don't know you exist.
You always were a kidder, Steve.
I make it a point not to buy any iPhone game for more than 99 cents. I also never make any in-app purchases.
Boo to that. Most of the best iOS games are in the $1.99 - $2.99 range... at least if you are looking for games that are not reliant on IAP
Why would anyone spend $5 to buy a game and then pay additional money to not play the game they just bought? SO DUMB!
You do get the full. However I personally feel like they've made the game unnecessarily hard to trick people into spending more money. This is also true for the hints system. Rather than giving you a push in the right direction after, let's say 5 failed attempts at a level the "hint" shows you exactly how to beat the level. You get five. As far as I know you never earn more, you have to pay for them.
No big surprises maybe but it's a real bummer. There's a great game underneath, well worth $5 and it's a shame they felt the need to ruin it with in-app purchases. I wish I could recommend it but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
I have 3-starred every level before moving onto the next, usually 2-starring first time, occasionally all 3. I have not even come close to needing the hint system and I am on 3-9, nor do I understand why the IAP would get in the way of the experience. I hope that the complexity is at the max for the the Blood Money levels! This is my first itunes purchase (fiances iphone since I use only android) and i am happy with it.
