Why they never get the actual voice actors for movies I never quite understand. I mean, David Bateson IS 47.
PS: I understand why they go for "bigger" names, but still, I'd rather see Bateson wire grappling fools over Olyphant or Walker.

Pretty boy huh? Too bad a bald head won't look too good on him. David Bateson, the only man who can play Agent 47.

@Karkarov: No need for a good actor to play 47? That's bs.
Ah the internet and it's constant lack of a sense of humor. Obviously you need some acting talent to be any character but that being said let's be real. Agent 47 is not exactly an ocean of emotional depth. In all honesty I think Paul Walker get's more hate than he really deserves, most of the roles he ends up in have weak scripts and bad writing to begin with. The problem is that his casting indicates this movie will likely go in a direction the "fans" of the series won't like and that physically he just doesn't really look the part. He can pull off the suit, but the bald bar code pale skin thing? Not so sure, in fact, I expect the movie won't even ask him to try and instead will just give him a buzz cut and leave him tanned. Paul Walker's fans (yes he has some) also probably would be turned off if he looked completely different from his usual roles and why are you casting Paul Walker if you aren't trying to attract his fanbase of mostly teenage chicks who think he is hot?
Shame for Timothy Olyphant; he's really shown his chops in Deadwood/Justified, but I haven't really seen a memorable turn from him on the big screen yet.

Well if Paul Walker fails, the 2nd reboot of the Hitman movies will star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel interchangeably as Agent 47.
How bout they CGI them to have both heads on one body. Each head will say every other word.

Timothy Olyphant to Paul Walker? Really? The dude what plays Raylan Givens, one of the most badass dudes on tv to....Paul Walker?
Raylan is the shit.

Pretty much.
I mean, for fuck's sake. Couldn't they at least get William Mapother if Bateson didn't want to do it? He already was cast in Absolution to portray him until they got Bateson back on board.

@Karkarov: You're defending Paul's inner actor and you claim I have no humor.
Hardly, just pointing out the obvious. You could put Robert DeNiro in his prime into Paul Walker's role in Faster and Furiouser Fab Five Point Five in Sixty Seconds (or whatever they name the next cash in) and he would like shit on screen. Bad role + bad writing + bad script = anyone looks like crap. Most of Paul Walker's roles definitely fall into that category. The difference is DeNiro could walk away from that role, get a decent casting, and make it look good. Walker can't, he will never be any better than the script he is reading and would probably drag down one that is good. But again my point is just that, you cast Walker when you want a pretty boy to get the girls sqeeing, not when you want a great acting job.
Hence it isn't that he is going to be Agent 47 that is the problem, the mere fact that he was cast in any role at all is. His being in the movie says what kind of movie it is going to be because it is the only kind of movie he does and that kind of movie is not what I would want "Hitman" to be.
