Hope is the name of the female protagonist in the self-titled release, I, Hope (2018). Hope is a formidable young lady, equally dangerous with her lightning-fast wit as she is with the curled moon-staff. Fierce yet empathetic, Hope is quick to come to the aid of those she loves. Hope was raised by her Grandpa who has been training her to fight and since she was old enough to walk.
Hope's youthful exuberance often makes her a little too quick to act, which was most apparent as her Grandpa prepared her for her first coming-of-age "Islandfall" ceremony. Every year in Hope's world, mysterious islands appear from the clouds which hold great treasure and great danger. It is during this time that the children of Hope's village venture onto these islands to prove themselves amongst their peers. It was during one of these Islandfall ceremonies that Hope lost her parents when she was very young.
