i was fired a couple days before the game went gold. no ones proud of this mess and its a shining example of why midway went under.
The developers (N-Fusion) are now making shovelware Wii rail shooters.
Sometimes on a dark and lonely night I can still hear the Hour of Victory theme if I listen hard enough.
The job listing didnt say for what company but they game enough clues that I could deduce that it was Midway. Sent a resume and during the interview
just made sure to rattle off a bunch of Midway titles when asked what were some of my favorite games. Got the job.....wish i hadn't.
......India.
Anyone got any questions about the development of this game? I guess this game hasn't reached the cult status of over notoriously bad games yet,
but I do remember when it came out, it did take top honors on many worst game of the year lists.
I think the streamlined approach of that level helped hide a lot of inadequacies of the game engine, combat system, level design, development team, etc....
trying to come up with another positive.....
the music isn't half bad and sometimes during testing the QA team would take a couple hours off to play Marvel vs Capcom 2.
It was a rush job in the strictest form of the term. Had to make that fiscal quarter!!!
DO you have any good stories of the development team getting angry, or fighting or anything of the sort?
Well you goto realise that there's a market for shitty games. Maybe the core of this game's sales will be at wallmart and being bbought by parents that don't know this is a bed game.
@demonkd: As far as their knowledge they must have known there were a lot of bugs in the build that shipped. They were under ridiculous time constraints. If I'm remembering correctly, the multiplayer was outsourced to a different studio
and we only had about 2 weeks worth of working builds to test before the game went gold.
And I'm pretty sure Microsoft sent it back to us at least twice during the submission process because of game breaking bugs.
