Coins have long been used in video games as both a form of currency and as a means of accruing points.
A brick is a block of ceramic material used in masonry construction, laid using mortar.
Mushroom is the familiar term used to describe a gilled fungus which may or may not bear a stem. Mushrooms are the "fruit" of spore bearing fungi.
A vine is a plant that climbs or trails a flexible stem. In video game usage, they are plants that the player can climb or use to swing across something. They are most commonly used in jungle settings.
Fluffy looking puffs seen in the atmosphere that are accumilations of moisture. They are used to add detail to Sky boxes in games or just increase realism.
Cars go places. Hopefully fast.
A length of exceptionally sharp metal with a handle, used for centuries as the go-to killing device for the human race. It's dead simple: you stick the pointy end in the thing you want to die. Or you could always slash them with the equally sharp sides. That works too.
A big stone block used in graveyards to remember the dead. Also popular as Halloween decorations.
A Jack-o'-lantern is a lantern carved from a pumpkin or some other vegetable. It is a traditional symbol of Halloween.
How powerups are granted in old-school platform games. Also seen in many paddle-controlled games as an object to destroy for points and/or powerups.
