Fortunately, Sucker Punch has announced the inFamous 2 beta will be extended. How long, however, pretty much remains to be seen, as nobody quite knows when PSN will be coming back online.

Looks like Valve shouldn't have tried to play hardball with Microsoft by getting in bed with Sony.

There's a rumor on reddit stating that it's due to a new CFW for the PS3 which enables piracy of PSN content.

Dunno, if it's real, but I know I'm not the only one annoyed by the PSN Outage.

Some guy on reddit was saying that they believe this all happened because "hackers" got access to the developer side of psn and were buying stuff on psn with fake cc numbers, and so sony decided to shut psn until they can fix their security. Got to take rumors with a grain of salt but a scenario like that would make sense to me.

Nice. I only managed to put in about an hour or two before the network issues started...

I wish I was in the beta.

Is this a general beta or just open for PSN plus people?

Yo seeing Klepek post news still makes me so happy! There is literally NO ONE else in the industry I would rather see come on board Giant Bomb! Congratulations all over again :D Now we have to get all the other people from the 1UP glory days! Giant Bomb Confirmed, make it happen!

More INfamous is good for everyone.

I wonder how much testing is going on in this beta and if it will effect Infamous 2's release.

PSN will be down up until InFamous 2 is released... wouldn't that be something? XD
